Hydrotech NZ is a New Zealand-registered business dedicated to providing premium hydrogen water bottles.

By using our website (hydrotechnz.com) or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms and Policies.
2. TERMS & CONDITIONS
2.1 Order Acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance by Hydrotech NZ. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to: product availability, errors in product or pricing information, or suspected fraudulent activity.
2.2 Pricing & Payment
- All prices are displayed in your selected currency (NZD, AUD, USD, etc.) and include GST where applicable for New Zealand orders.
- Payment is processed at the time of order via our secure payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit/debit card).
- International customers are responsible for any currency conversion fees charged by their bank or payment provider.
2.3 Product Descriptions
We make every effort to display products accurately. However, we do not guarantee that product descriptions, images, or other content are error-free, complete, or current. If a product you receive differs materially from its description, you may return it under our Returns Policy.
2.4 Intellectual Property
All content on hydrotechnz.com—including text, images, logos, graphics, and software—is the property of Hydrotech NZ or its licensors and is protected by New Zealand and international copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
2.5 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Hydrotech NZ's total liability for any claim arising from or related to our products or services is limited to the purchase price of the product(s) in question.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) or the Australian Consumer Law.
2.6 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Hydrotech NZ harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of our products.
2.7 Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts. However, this does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Dispute Resolution: Before initiating any legal action, you agree to contact us at support@hydrotechnz.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will respond within 14 days.
3. SHIPPING POLICY
3.1 Processing Time
All orders are processed within 2 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays).
3.2 Delivery Timeframes

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary due to courier delays, customs processing, or circumstances beyond our control.
3.3 Important Shipping Information
- Address: Please provide a valid physical residential or business address. We do not ship to PO Box addresses.
- Tracking: All orders include tracking. You will receive tracking details via email once dispatched.
- Signature: Depending on the courier, a signature may be required upon delivery.
- Failed Delivery: If delivery fails due to an incorrect address provided by you, redelivery costs will be at your expense.
3.4 International Orders
- Customs & Duties: International customers are solely responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs fees, or brokerage charges imposed by their country. These are not included in our prices.
- Customs Delays: We are not responsible for delays caused by customs inspections.
3.5 Lost or Damaged Shipments
- If your order appears lost, contact us within 30 days of the dispatch date.
- If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage. We will arrange a replacement or refund.
4. 30-DAY MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE (Change of Mind)
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee so you can try Hydrotech with confidence. This is in addition to your statutory rights.
4.1 Eligibility
- You must request your return within 30 days of delivery (not purchase date).
- The product must be in resaleable condition: undamaged, with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation included.
4.2 What's NOT Eligible
- Products not in resaleable condition (excessive wear, damage, permanent marks).
- Products with missing components (box, USB-C cable, user manual, bottle lid, glass bottle, ioniser base).
- Products damaged through misuse or accident.
- Partial bundle returns: If you purchased a bundle, all items must be returned together.
4.3 How to Return
Step 1: Contact Us
Email support@hydrotechnz.com with:
- Your order number
- Reason for return
- Clear, timestamped photos of the complete product (showing all components)
Step 2: Await Approval
We will review your request and confirm eligibility within 2 business days. If approved, we will provide the return address.
Step 3: Ship Your Return
- Return shipping is at your expense.
- Use a trackable courier service—Hydrotech NZ is not liable for returns lost in transit.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage.
Step 4: Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your return (allow up to 7 business days for inspection):
- Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.
- A restocking fee of up to $10 NZD may apply if accessories are missing or the item cannot be resold as new.
4.4 Gifts With Purchase
If you received a free gift with your order and wish to return the main product, you must also return the gift. If the gift is not returned, its retail value will be deducted from your refund.
5. CONSUMER GUARANTEES (YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS)
5.1 New Zealand Customers — Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA). You are entitled to:
- A replacement or refund for a major failure
- Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
- Repair or replacement if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure
These rights apply regardless of our 30-day money-back guarantee or 12-month warranty and are not limited by any timeframe.
5.2 Australian Customers — Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
5.3 Faulty Products
If your product is faulty, defective, or not as described:
- Contact us at support@hydrotechnz.com with your order number and description of the fault (include photos/videos if possible).
- We will assess the issue and, if covered under consumer guarantees, provide a repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you—including return shipping.
Note: Consumer guarantee rights exist independently of our commercial warranty and cannot be excluded or limited.
6. 12-MONTH WARRANTY
In addition to your statutory rights, Hydrotech NZ provides a 12-month commercial warranty against manufacturing defects.
6.1 What's Covered
Defects in materials or workmanship under normal use, including:
- Glass bottle integrity
- Ioniser unit and electronics
- USB-C charging port
- LED indicators
- Included accessories (lid, cable)
6.2 What's NOT Covered
- Damage from misuse, accidents, drops, or improper handling
- Damage from use with liquids other than water
- Cosmetic damage (minor scratches, scuffs) that does not affect function
- Normal wear and tear
- Consumable parts (seals, gaskets) after their natural lifespan
- Products purchased from unauthorised resellers
- Products with removed or altered serial numbers
6.3 Important Notice
Modifying, disassembling, or attempting to repair your Hydrotech bottle yourself may affect your warranty claim. However, this does not limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act (NZ) or Australian Consumer Law for goods that fail to meet consumer guarantees.
6.4 How to Make a Warranty Claim
Step 1: Contact Us
Email support@hydrotechnz.com with:
- Order number or proof of purchase
- Description of the issue
- Photos or videos demonstrating the defect
Step 2: Assessment
We will assess your claim within 3 business days and advise on next steps.
Step 3: Return for Inspection (if required)
If we need to inspect the product:
- We will provide return instructions and the return address
- Return shipping for warranty claims is at your expense initially
- If the claim is approved, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs
Step 4: Resolution
Upon inspection (within 5–7 business days of receipt):
- If covered: We will repair or replace the defective product and ship it back at our expense within 10 business days.
- If not covered: We will return your product and advise on repair options. You will be responsible for return shipping.
6.5 Proof of Purchase
A valid order confirmation email or receipt is required for all warranty claims.
7. SEASONAL / PROMOTIONAL POLICIES
7.1 Black Friday, Cyber Monday & Holiday Sales
During peak sale periods (e.g., Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas):
- Extended processing: Orders may take up to 15 business days to dispatch due to high volume.
- Courier delays: Delivery timeframes may be longer than usual due to courier network congestion.
- Christmas cut-off (NZ): For guaranteed pre-Christmas delivery, place orders by 15 December. Orders placed after this date may not arrive before 25 December.
7.2 Sale Items
- All sale items are eligible for returns under the same 30-day money-back guarantee and consumer guarantee rights.
- Our 12-month warranty applies equally to sale and full-price items.

9. PRODUCT SAFETY & USAGE
9.1 Intended Use
Hydrotech bottles are designed for use with clean drinking water only (tap, filtered, or lightly mineralised water).
9.2 Do NOT Use With
- Carbonated beverages
- Juices, smoothies, or other liquids
- Hot water above 50°C (122°F)
- Any liquid other than water
Using the bottle with non-approved liquids may damage the device and void your warranty.
9.3 General Safety
- Keep the charging port dry during use
- Do not submerge the ioniser base in water
- Charge only with the included USB-C cable or equivalent
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device
- Keep away from children under 12 without adult supervision
9.4 Health Disclaimer
Hydrotech hydrogen water bottles are wellness products. We do not claim that our products diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you have a medical condition, consult your healthcare provider before use.
